The common power of fiber laser marking machine is 10W/20W/30W/50W/60W/100W, among which the most commonly used power is 20W/30W/50W. How should we choose the power when we buy laser marking machine, and what is the difference between different wattages?
From the power point of view, 30W > 20W > 10W, generally speaking, the higher the power, the higher the price of fiber laser marking machine.
From energy saving and cost considerations, try to choose a small power under the satisfaction of the logo.
Difference 1: 20W-30W-50W difference
50W>30W>20W
In the same material marking the same content, 50W output marking speed faster than 30W/20W;
shorter marking time for the 50W output than the 30W/20W when marking the same depth on the same material;
The pulse width is different, the 20W pulse is slightly wider, the larger the pulse width, the more unfavourable the processing effect.
10W/20W/30W/50W with the same frequency, the higher the power, the greater the single pulse energy, the better the processing effect
Single pulse energy: the higher the laser power, the higher the single pulse energy. For example, if you mark 0.1mm deep on metal, a 20W machine must repeat the marking 30 times, a 30W machine no more than 20 times and a 50W machine no more than 10 times. In short, high-power laser machines are more efficient.
Difference 2 in application: 20W fibre laser machine is mainly used for surface marking of plastic, stainless steel, aluminium, etc..
If the customer needs deep engraving, then a 30W fibre laser would be a better choice. Among the metal materials, aluminium is the easiest to be profound. For laser marking of guns and metals, a 30w fibre laser would be a better choice.
If you need to deepen or cut on brass, silver or gold you will need to choose 50W as these are highly reflective materials and if you choose a lower wattage the marking speed will be reduced.
