However, with the development of science and technology and the continuous advancement of ceramic technology, zirconia ceramics have begun to enter our eyes and are widely used in modern industry and life.

Application of zirconia/ alumina ceramics
Zirconia (YSZ) & alumina ceramic substrates can be used as induction heating tubes, refractory materials, and heating elements due to their excellent high temperature resistance in ceramics. And it has sensitive electrical performance parameters, high toughness, high bending strength and high wear resistance, excellent thermal insulation performance, and thermal expansion coefficients close to steel. It is mainly used in ceramic knives, oxygen sensors, thermal substrates for fuel cells, solid oxide fuel cells, and high-temperature heating elements.
The advantages of femtosecond laser are obvious in ceramic cutting, with almost no burrs, no deformation, low thermal influence and low degree of carbonization, making it more suitable for cutting this kind of zirconia ceramic.
1. Cold processing: The energy peak of femtosecond pulse is high, which can realize cold processing mode and meet the strict requirements of products.
2. Good quality: During product processing, femtosecond laser energy consumption is low, material damage is small, and precision is high: non-mechanical contact processing, no stress, uniform sample edge, ceramic edge collapse without melting, better quality.
3. High efficiency: The processing process has extremely high energy density, which can achieve more efficient cutting ability of zirconia ceramic materials and can quickly cut material structure into shape.
